Welcome to the Database Design Course:

Text Book for the Course: DATABASE CONCEPTS, 4th Edition by DAVID M. KROENKE and DAVID J. AUER

Objectives:

To enable students to apply database concepts and their principles to design simple relational database systems. The important topics are:

 

q              Design of simple relational database systems

q              Database processing

q              Basic SQL for database definition and manipulation

q              Entity-relationship model and illustration of data modelling

q              Transformation of E-R data models to relational designs
